Can you help me with my design?
Unfortunately, We do not provide any type of graphic design services.We deal with certified trade printers and designers only that must provide the files according to our specifications. For more information about this please visit our file preparation section..
What is the difference between digital and offset printing?
Digital printing is generally used when printing smaller quantities. This is because there is much more time and cost involved with preparing for an offset (printing press) job. Offset printing is used for larger quantities where the higher cost of setup is justified by the lower cost of production per piece. Generally smaller quantities (under 1000) are printed digitally. 
What kind of files can I submit?
We accept PDF files only -- preferably PDFx:1a files because they support transparencies. We can accept other files but you may be subject to a file conversion fees which varies. The ideal specs are as follows: 300 dpi (resolution), with a 1/8th inch bleed and a 1/4 inch text safety.
Can I use 2 different graphic files for my order?
You can't use two separate image files, say, for an order of 1000 Pocket Folders. You would need to order 500 of each version instead.
What is bleed?
Bleed is the 1/8" extra added to each edge of an artwork files. The cutting process in printing is not absolutely perfect so the extra 1/8" is just in case the cut is off a tiny bit. You will see the bleed rather than the white line from the unprinted paper.
Do you print with bleed or do you leave a white border?
All of our prices include bleeds.
What are internal margins?
This is the opposite of a bleed. Text should not be placed within 1/4" of the cut line.
What does AQ coating mean?
AQ is short for aqueous and is a water based varnish applied over the finished print product. Aqueous coating gives a matte gloss finish to the final product.
What does UV coating mean?
UV is short for Ultraviolet and is a coating applied over the finished print product. UV coating gives the card stock a high-quality glossy sheen.
Will I receive Proofs before printing?
Typically we send proofs by email only but if you would like to see a hard copy proof printed from our digital Minolta printed we can do that for an additional cost.
Can you send me a sample of my graphics before they are printed?
Yes, when placing your order you can select on any of our products a Hard Copy proof ($15 additional for courier costs). So we will print a digital Hard Copy proof that is colour accurate around 90% compared to the final offset printed product. We will keep a copy, so you can approve it sending us an email and then we will proceed to print. The Hard Copy proof is normally not assembled and is for colour purposes mostly. Pocket Folders hard copy proofs are printed in two (2) separate pieces since our digital proofer can not print it in one (1) piece like it will be done in the printing press.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept all credit cards (Amex is subject to a processing fee) or electronic payments via PayPal or debit. We do not accept cheques.
We will need the pricing in US dollars as we are using a US credit card.?
Our merchant account is setup in Canadian Dollars. If you use a US$ Credit Card, our merchant will charge that credit card in CA$ and then will convert those with the exchange rate that your bank has when the transaction is done. In short, we can not provide an accurate amount in US$ if the shipping address is in Canada.
What does shipping cost?
Our prices are very competitive! We offer Free shipping in the GTA , however, If you are outside of the GTA the cost of the shipping will vary according with the quantity and area of your order. For more information about this topic, check this link.
I selected UPS as my shipper, why is it going with Canpar?
All shipping is currently done via Purolator, UPS & Canpar or the best available service. If UPS already dropped by our location by the time your order is ready, our shipping department will select an alternative courier to avoid delaying your order.
I'm a reseller. Do resellers/wholesalers get special prices?
We are a trade printing company, and we provide services exclusively to print resellers or graphic designers. Therefore, all of our prices are already trade/wholesale ones. End users or companies purchasing for their own use cannot buy from us.
Do you offer bindery services only? ( Die Cutting only or gluing if we provided the flat sheets already printed)
Unfortunately, we do not offer Bindery only services. We only die cut or glue jobs printed by us.
What is your shipping table calculated for?
Our table is calculated for 9x12 standard pocket folders. For any other size or any other type of pocket folder please add the product to your cart so you can get an estimate using your postal code.
If I supply my own labels, Can I supply any other than UPS (Purolator, Feddex, Canpar, etc…)?
We work exclusively with UPS. UPS drops by our plant every day. If you supply any other label than UPS, you will have to call that carrier and schedule a pickup. There will be no guarantees your order will leave on time since some of those carriers drop at our premises as early as 1 pm. Your order may not be ready, and you may lose 1 or 2 days of shipping transit.
Can I get a discount if I order 4 or more different Presentation Folders?
Unfortunately,unless we can use common plates between the multiple orders, there will be no savings.
What is our Return Policy?
All sales are final. Every print job is carefully inspected before it is shipped from our facility. If there is an issue with your job or is damaged upon receipt please contact us within 10 business days after your package arrives. All claims MUST be made within 10 days of receiving your order. Shipping charges are non-refundable unless product is lost or delayed by the shipping courier. Returned products must be returned in full for refund. Should your print job contain manufacturing errors and/or defects, we will rerun and ship the job at no charge.
Wholesalepocketfolders reserves the exclusive right to judge what a manufacturing error and/or defect is. On a case by case basis we will investigate and determine if the damage was due to negligence on our part. Please contact our Customer Relations Department at 1-800-746-1210 Monday through Friday from 9am to 5:30pm EST so we can handle your request.
Are the samples of completed job shipped with the order or separately?
If the order is to be blind shipped, the samples are sent separately. However, if the order goes straight to you and not to your customer, we might include the samples in the same box(es) as the order.
